I love how this cake turned out! The middle was my favorite part!
It’s a bird…it’s a plane…it’s a CAKE!
February 21st, 2011You’ve got a friend who’s three!
February 16th, 2011It’s hard to believe, but Daniel turned three! I was glad to escape from another Cars party–this year we celebrated Toy Story style!
Any Toy Story 3 fan would love this Garbage Cake…from the scene in the movie when all the toys were trying to escape the dump!
I am still not taking orders, but am holding out hope of re-opening in the fall when Daniel starts pre-school!
Sugar and spice and everything nice…
July 27th, 2010Our little girl is here! Delilah Belle arrived on June 6th, weighing 8lbs. 12oz. She was 21 inches long. We adore our newest addition, but are still adjusting to life with two. Because I am as committed to the quality of my desserts as I am the quality of time spent with my family, I am taking on a small load of projects on a first-come, first-booked basis, and will most likely not be booking any custom carved cakes, or large projects yet.

Got Peeps?
March 8th, 2010It is that time of the year PEEPle! You know who you are. If your favorite photo on my website is the one below, wait no longer–I am taking pre-orders for my spectacular Peeps cakes! Because of the time it takes to make these cakes, the fact that I am very pregnant, and that most orders will all be for Easter Sunday, I can only take 8 orders, and I need one week of notice. The cakes are $65, and come garnished with real peeps and jelly beans in Easter grass. If you are interested, please email me, the spots will fill up quickly!
ONE sold, seven left!!!

Peace, love & frosting!
March 8th, 2010I was thrilled when a good client contacted me about a groovy birthday cake for her daughter’s 11th birthday. She gave me a link to the party supply store, and told me to go for it! The cake turned out great. Where you might not be able to see the relief of the peace sign in the top of the cake, you CAN see that the birthday girl was very pleased with her cake! We also did matching favor bags with tye-dye frosted sugar cookies, and custom tags–it was psychedelic!

Wedding snow flurries with a 100% chance of a happy ending!
March 8th, 2010My cousin Courtney & Mark were married on February 27th in Incline. Their winter-wonderland wedding came complete with snow flurries–it was magical! Court wanted a full service desert bar featuring all my sweet treats, as well as a cheesecake bar, where you could choose between fresh toppings of lemon curd, strawberry sauce, fudge sauce, or the Groom’s favorite, Snicker’s cheesecake! It was just beautiful.
Two years…gone like Lightning!
February 24th, 2010Our baby turned 2 this month–I guess he’s not a baby anymore, but a little boy! We celebrated with, what else? CARS! My whole family is in love with the mini whoopie pies for kids. They are adorable, colorful, and MUCH easier for kiddos to wrap their hands around! I have made whoopie pies for four little birthdays this month, and all have come back with rave reviews on how tasty they are, and easy for kids to eat! It’s also easy to personalize to your theme, as you can see from Daniel’s below!

Baby on the brain!
January 11th, 2010UPDATE: It’s a girl! Baby Delilah is due June 4th!
Well, it’s official–we’ve got another bun, or should I say cupcake, in the oven! With our 20 week ultra-sound next week, I have baby on the brain, so I thought I would post these adorable baby shower cupcakes I did!
